The purpose of this scholarship is to assist eligible candidates with the continuation of formal education. Formal education applies to any school and/or college with curriculum, whether it is undergraduate, post-graduate or occupational school. Leisure learning courses are not considered a continuation of formal education. Preference for scholarships will be given to graduating high school seniors wishing to attend a qualified higher learning institution but current undergraduate, graduate students and students enrolled in occupational schools will also be considered.
Applications for the upcoming year can be accessed beginning October 1st and must be complete and submitted along with two official recommendation letters to the scholarship administrator by April 30th,or they will not be considered. Any envelopes showing a post-date after the deadline date will not be considered. Applications from previous years will not be considered. A new application must be submitted for each year.
Scholarship Essay Requirement
The essay is an essential part of the Chicago Cross Roads Corvette Club scholarship application. It helps us to become acquainted with the recipient in ways other than courses, grades and test scores. The essay must be 300 to 500 typed words, double spaced with one inch left and right margins. Application is available on our website and must be post marked no later than April 30th of the award year.

October: Scholarship application available to interested parties on the CCCC website.
January: President will appoint a three-person committee and one committee head, to accept and review applications. Club Secretary will maintain a copy of all application for administrative purposes and submission to the Newsletter Editor.
April: Scholarship application and pertinent information deadline is April 30th.
May - June: Scholarship committee will review applications and present final recommendations to the Board of Directors at monthly board meeting for their final approval. The Board may request completed applications for their review. Scholarship funds will be divided equally among recipients as determined by the Board.
July: Scholarship recipients will be notified and names will be posted on CCCC’s website. Scholarship recipients will be acknowledged at the annual Scholarship car show in July. The recipients’ attendance at the car show is preferred.
August: Checks will be mailed out to the recipients.
