The purpose of this scholarship is to assist eligible candidates with the continuation of formal education. Formal education applies to any institution with an undergraduate, postgraduate, or occupational curriculum. Leisure learning courses will not be considered. Consideration will be given to graduating high school seniors accepted into a qualified higher learning institution, current undergraduates, graduate students, and students enrolled in occupational schools.

Applications for the upcoming year can be accessed beginning October 1st, must be completed, and submitted along with two official recommendation letters to the scholarship administrator by May 31th, or they will not be considered. Any envelopes postmarked after the deadline will not be considered. Applications from previous years will not be considered. A new application must be submitted each year.
Scholarship Essay Requirement
The essay is an essential part of the scholarship application. It assists us in becoming acquainted with the recipient in ways other than courses, grades and test scores. The essay must be 400 to 500 typed words, double spaced with one inch left and right margins.

Administration
Scholarship applications are available to interested parties. The foundation will appoint a three-person committee and one committee head to accept and review applications. The foundation secretary will maintain a copy of all applications for administrative purposes.
The scholarship committee will review applications and present final recommendations to the foundation board of directors at a monthly board meeting for their final approval. The Board may request completed applications for their review.
Scholarship recipients will be notified, and names will be posted on the Chicago Crossroads Corvette Club website. Scholarship recipients will be acknowledged at the annual Scholarship Foundation car show in July. The recipients’ attendance at the car show is strongly encouraged.
A CCCC chairperson or Secretary will contact scholarship recipients to verify the university/ college the recipient will attend in the fall. After receiving verification with a student ID number, a check will be mailed directly to the recipient’s school of choice in the amount awarded by the foundation scholarship committee the second week of September.
